BUSINESSES on the Garden Route and surrounds have been invited to a year-end function with a difference.
The 2009 Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge in Bitou supports a worthwhile cause and also offers heaps of summer fun.
Entrants can participate in several different events over two days, December 27 and 28.
Events range from a challenging 6km ocean swim to a beach fun walk and all entry fees go to caring for children with special needs within the Bitou area.
On Sunday, December 27, participants can choose between the 6km ocean swim, a 10km road run, a 15km surf ski for those wanting something testing, or the beach fun walk.
On Monday 28, activities include a one mile (1,6km) river swim or a 25km mountain bike race and for those who have children between six and 10 years old, there is the “kids of steel” duathlon.
The company which enters the most participants wins a breakfast for six at Emily Moon Lodge on the Bitou River in Plettenberg Bay. The company will also be presented with a hand-made engraved plaque.
The business which brings in the second largest contingent of supporters will win a breakfast for four, courtesy of the Bitou River Lodge. Entrants will also get the chance to mingle with well known personalities such as Natalie de Toit and Derek Watts.
