THERE are plenty of arts and entertainment options to choose from today and tomorrow, and in the run-up to next weekend:

The Afromix band, with talents like Erroll Cuddembey and Musa Mavundla, will perform with newcomers like teen singing sensation Titi Qwesha at the Bay’s Uptown Theatres in Rink Street at 7.30pm tonight. Tickets at R50 are at Uptown (041-5821428).

The Sterling Electric Quartet, made up of four award-winning instrumentalists, will perform at the Boardwalk conference centre at 3pm tomorrow. Tickets at R60 are at Computicket or at the door.

The Stomp at the PE German Club in Lorraine will feature five drummers battling it out to Santana’s music in The Thunder of Drums tonight. Other acts will also perform. Inquiries: 082-8811155 or 082-5677404.

Singer Ulagh Williams and the original TwoTone Show Band are back with A Crooners’ Christmas, a “classy but festive” show featuring Christmas favourites as sung by artists like Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. It will take place at Uptown Theatres on Friday at 7pm, and next Saturday and Sunday at 7pm and 6pm respectively. Tickets are at Uptown.

Cedric van der Linden, Grant Bayman and Amanda Wellmann are exhibiting at the Ruwach Art Gallery in Campbell Street, Richmond Hill, PE until December 15.
