POLICE in Plettenberg Bay are investigating a murder after a local mother’s body was found in a forest behind the Kurland Brick factory at The Crags.

Nokwanda Nnzengana, 38, was last seen alive on July 2 by her daughter, aged 12. She left her home and disappeared after receiving a phone call, police said.

Nnzengana had been reported missing for eight days before a herb gatherer came across her body in the bush. “The body was already in a partially decomposed state. An autopsy was conducted to determine the possible cause of death. The result is not yet available,” police said. “A reward is offered for information that could lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of the killers.”
