Banks charge for everything IN an effort to promote safe banking and a cash-free society in South Africa, salaries, pensions etc are deposited into a banking account and electronic account payments are being encouraged. A point of concern is the high bank charges levied for managing these electronic accounts.... Fine the drivers who ignore crossings COMBINE the sentiment expressed in two recent letters (“Traffic officers struggle to make ends meet” and “Look out for pedestrians”, Herald, November 30) and all problems could be solved... Thanks for helping us ON November 16, our house was gutted by fire. Nothing was left, but, through the divine hand from above, we escaped serious injury.... Stop dumping THE scenic route between Seaview and Bushy Park has become a dumping site for garden and household refuse, as well as building rubble. Is there no action that could be taken to stop these selfish, uneducated destroyers from spoiling this valuable piece of land?... Disabled should participate I WOULD like to congratulate the National Quadriplegic Association (“Changes in law for vehicles on beach hailed”, Herald, December 6.) People with disabilities and others with special mobility needs will once again be able to use specialised transport to access our beaches.... Nats would have done much more IN Mandla Seleoane’s December 2 column (“Maybe our critics were right about the roads”), he makes reference to the state of the economy under the ANC government and how well it is flourishing and that the Nats had no chance of doing the same.... Give Tsolekile a chance WHENEVER a black player is selected for a provincial or national squad (in rugby and cricket in particular), there are cries of outrage.... |
