Gqeberha magic man Brendon Peel and his ever-present partner in crime, Li Lau, are back in town with their latest show, Double Bluff: An Extreme Magic Show, now on stage for the Mandela Bay Arts Festival.
Their spellbinding shows leave audiences in awe with mind-blowing mentalist antics by Peel and extreme escapades by Lau and Double Bluff: An Extreme Magic Show is a unique experience suitable for all ages.
From relatively ordinary card tricks to more intricate and extreme illusions, Peel keeps the audience entertained not only through his magic and mentalist skills, but also through some tongue-in-cheek comedic moments.
Lau, who punts himself as a more circus sideshow act, leaves the audience guessing what’s coming next.
From fire-eating to escapism, Lau creates tension and paces his acts with extreme care.
Double Bluff: An Extreme Magic Show, which garnered much support during the 2023 National Arts Festival in Makhanda, is a first for Gqeberha.
The pair, who rose to international fame after their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, have toured the world and made it to the semifinals of Got Talent All Stars.
Catch Double Bluff: An Extreme Magic Show on Wednesday and Friday at 8.30pm and Saturday at 2pm and 8pm.
All the shows will be at the Savoy Theatre in Perridgevale.
