One person died and several shacks were gutted when a fire ripped through an informal settlement in Lorraine on Wednesday night, leaving devastation in its wake.
A 28-year-old Gqeberha breadwinner was killed in the inferno and dozens of familes were left homeless when the fire, fanned by strong winds, quickly spread through Piet se Bos at about 10.30pm. ..
