With just 75 days until Christmas, more than 100 stallholders are already preparing for one of Gqeberha’s biggest annual markets, Christmas in the Home.
The annual three-day gift and craft market will again provide a high-quality trading platform for entrepreneurs and creative artists when it returns on December 6 at the Fairview Centre in Willow Road.
Event coordinator, Elsje Smuts, said 2024’s mix of exhibitors included upmarket home décor, boutique style clothing and accessories, jewellery, art and children’s toys and clothing.
Smuts said more than 6,000 visitors were expected to attend 2024’s instalment.
“I think people enjoy that they always find something unique at Christmas in the Home — items you wouldn’t normally find in a shop.
“For some of these artists, the market is the only public platform they use to sell their wares.
“It’s really something special and there is something for everyone — from quirky to classic tastes.”
Smuts said her organising team had worked hard to create an inspiring environment for people to do their shopping away from the hustle and bustle of shopping malls.
The venue offers ample indoor space, as well as laid back outdoor space for a day of family-filled fun.
The market will trade between 9am and 5pm on Friday December 6, from 9am to 5pm on Saturday December 7, and from 9am to 3pm on Sunday December 8.
The entrance fee is R20 per person.
