The high-octane excitement will not stop after the engines cool down at the third round of the Official MSA MX National Championship on May 3 as the action moves from the track to the after-party at the Rover Motorcycle Club.
Some of the country’s top riders will gather in Gqeberha for an exhilarating day of motocross racing on the legendary sand track situated along Victoria Drive.
Topping the bill at the after-party is Timo ODV, who will be joined by a stellar lineup of local DJs including Dyltek, Mizzy Daniels, DJ Ice, Cav and Doopie.
The after-party is hosted by Gqeberha events company LiquidSA.
LiquidSA’s Calvin Volschenk said he was excited about the event and promised a night of great music and plenty of fun to wrap up an adrenaline-packed day of motocross.
“We are excited to be partnering up with the Rover Motorcycle Club to bring you a super fun night event,” he said.
“So best bring your best outfits and attitude and endeavour in some cocktails and finish your season off the right way.
“This will be the first outdoor festival after-party that’s ever been at the Rover Motorcycle Club.
“Come join us for a whole day of amazing racing, fun games and awesome drink specials that last the whole day.
“Creating the first-ever of something new in this town and that’s what this town needs. Something new,” he said.
Round three of the Official MSA MX National Championship will be held at the sand track at Rover MX near Schoenmakerskop.
The history of the iconic Rover Motorcycle Club is steeped in motorsport tradition.
Established in 1950 by a group of enthusiasts, including founder Spencer Millard, the club quickly became a breeding ground for champions.
It has produced numerous SA title-holders, including Sarel van der Merwe, and its members participated in prestigious international events, among them the Isle of Man TT races in 1963.
