Murder accused Rob Evans will have to wait even longer behind bars, as his bail application drags on after being postponed on Thursday afternoon.

Evans made a brief appearance in the Humansdorp Regional Court on Thursday where his case was postponed to Monday.

The case was postponed due to defence attorney Paul Roelofse being ill.

Evans is accused of murdering Gqeberha mother Vanessa van Rensburg, 36.

Van Rensburg’s body was found on the lounge floor of Evans’ Oyster Bay holiday home on Easter Sunday.

The bail application has been under way in the Humansdorp Regional Court since May 16.

Roelofse is busy with the cross-examination of the lead investigator in the case, Warrant Officer Xolile Kato.

The matter will continue on Monday.
