The Patriotic Alliance has snatched yet another ANC ward in the Koukamma municipality after Wednesday’s by-election.
The party secured ward 1 with 1,079 votes, representing 42.22% of the total.
The ANC, which previously held the ward, received 967.
The DA got 221 votes.
Ward 1 councillor candidate Bertram Korkee is set to join the Koukamma council, strengthening the PA’s caucus in the council.
