Famous U18 schools rugby tournament returns to Middelburg

A strong EP team has been named to take part in the U18 Craven Week rugby tournament, which kicks off in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, on July 7.

EP are in action on the second day of the tournament against the Sharks in what promises to be an entertaining encounter.

This year will mark Craven Week’s first return to Middelburg in over a decade after the town last held the illustrious event in 2014.

This is the 60th edition of the world-famous schoolboy tournament, which is named after former Springbok rugby player and coach Danie Craven

Hoërskool Middelburg will also hold the U18 Academy Week, which kicks off after Craven Week ends.

In 1964 the tournament started with 20 teams and has grown in size over the years.
