From braais to sizzling steaks and ice-cold beer — the way to a dad’s heart this Father’s Day is definitely through his stomach, and Nelson Mandela Bay restaurants have come to the party.

- Do Father’s Day “well done” by reserving your table at the Hussar Grill in Walmer. Receive a complimentary gift when dad orders a Stella Artois draught.
- The Old Grey Sports Club will host a Father’s Day spitbraai between noon and 3pm. Female acoustic duo from Nelson Mandela Bay, Letters From Jane, will be performing while you tuck in. Bookings can be made on 041-373-8325.
- At the Coachman on the Bay there is a whole month dedicated to fatherly love. Get a fillet steak with sauce and a double Johnnie Black for R280.
Then, for the more outdoorsy types, think picnicking, braaiing, hikes or game drives:
